KIMIHIA – AUXILIAR 2024-25.

I have had such a wonderful time working as an Auxiliar de Conversación at Huarte de San Juan! Located at the crest of a hill overlooking central Linares, it was the perfect place to enjoy a leisurely walk from my flat in the mornings. Thanks to the friendly staff at the school I had no trouble settling in and finding my rhythm working with the students, especially in situations where the student’s level of English is low. The teaching style here is so unlike my experience growing up in New Zealand, but I was able to adjust quite easily. The teachers I worked with were so willing to accommodate for my comfort and guide me through the experience while also allowing me room to bring my own ideas and aspects of my culture to the classroom. In my experience Huarte has been a wonderful school to work at for an Auxiliar experience. It was also in a great location for me to try out some of Linares’ cafés during my breaks.
